Saudi Arabia to build new Parliament in Tajikistan for $200 million

DUSHANBE: The government of Saudi Arabia has allocated around $200 million for construction of a new state-of-the-art building for the Tajik Parliament, Asia-Plus news agency reported.

The money will be in the form of a grant, a source in the Government has said.

The new building will be built on the territory of the Ministry of Agriculture, mayor’s office of Dushanbe, Embassy of Iran in Tajikistan and some other buildings.

All of the buildings mentioned are currently subject to demolition along with the old building of the parliament in accordance with the general plan for the city development.
